Did you know that making homemade granola is easy and inexpensive? Granola is toasted rolled oats that you add a wet base to and then components of taste and crunch to your preference. I made some earlier this week and it was delicious. When I made it Monday evening I didn’t have any dried fruit like cranberries or mango. However, since I’ve made it, I added about a cup of dried, diced mango to my granola. It took it over the top in taste.
A couple of weeks ago, I made this acorn squash recipe. It was from the current issue of the Hy-Vee Seasons Magazine that I get free in the mail. It was my husband’s birthday weekend (Oct. 8 was his b-day). My husband loves stuff from our garden that I cook, so I kind of made this dish for him. Overall, I think it was tasty, but it was super sweet. My husband ate his whole squash though and said he liked it. Check out the Hy-Vee magazine if you’d like to make this dish.
